The Jamie Hipkin Trophy

This is traditionally a competition fished between Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron and Brighton Central Angling Club. This tradition has been going for many years, and it creates a fun day, with many members from both clubs. It has several areas to win including, biggest bag and largest fish. This competition is also an internal club competition, on the syllabus to achieve competition points.


Three years ago Tim Hipkin handcrafted a fantastic trophy. This trophy is a tribute to his son, Jamie, who was an active Brighton member and was also a member for Beaumaris.  Jamie passed away in 2005, since then the competition has been dedicated to his memory.
Such a fantastic trophy it is now sought after by many club members.
